About Us

A true Native Washingtonian, David Peterson is a self-described “Visual Artist.”  He started drawing before he could read.  The third of six children, David was always encouraged by his mother and siblings to keep having his “fun”.

He has always enjoyed recreating images of the things he saw using pencil (his first love), as well as other types of media. In his senior year of high school, David’s natural talent helped him win First Place for Drawing in the regional NAACP Washington DC Regional Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics.  To hone his skillset, David graduated from the University of the District of Columbia with a degree in Advertising Design, thereby expanding his expertise to photography and graphic artistry.
For almost 30 years, David has been producing free-lance artwork within the Washington, DC area while working as a Federal government contractor.  His clientele includes a variety of businesses, private clients and government agencies including:  The General Services Administration, the Food & Drug Administration and the Stroke Comeback Center. While he is well-known for his expertise in Pen & Ink, David is also talented in the areas of Photography, Logo Design and Illustration.   His unique Note Cards and Pocket Notes can now be purchased on Etsy’s.

David was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corp and is a stroke survivor.  He continues to refine and perfect his craft.  His work is featured at the Copenhaver stationery store in Dupont Circle.  Special commissions can be requested on his website.

He is still working hard in recovery…
